Honey Bee was inspired by those who made the world around us just a little bit better.
Honey Bee carries that spirit on by helping those in the community around it, and by helping others improve their lives, a little bit at a time.
Using evidence-based therapy models, Nicole uses treatments based in Neuro-Science to help you reach your wellness goals.
Opened in June of 2022, Honey Bee came about as an idea to serve the community in which Nicole lived. After working in agency settings, Nicole wanted a better way to care for her clients, and the freedom to give them the best treatment options.
Nicole felt that in working with her community, the most important piece is to meet people where they are at, not where society expects them to be. Honey Bee is to be a place of no judgement, a safe space to all, no matter creed, culture, religion, or identification. Your experiences are important to you, thus they are important here at Honey Bee.
Nicole received her undergraduate degree in Psychology from the University of Akron. She graduated with her Masters in Clinical Mental Health Counseling, Summa Cum Laude, also from UA.
Nicole is an EMDR trained therapist under the EMDR International Association (EMDRIA). She has previously worked in community agencies as well as specialized populations at local rape crisis centers, jails, domestic violence shelters, and crisis hotlines.
Nicole is also a recurrent guest lecturer at The Mandel School of Applied Social Sciences, Case Western Reserve University, where she talks on the benefits of EMDR therapy. While she specializes in the treatment of trauma, Nicole also enjoys working with individuals diagnosed with ADHD, Anxiety, and those struggling with Grief.
Nicole strives to provide a kind, person centered approach to all her counseling, utilizing evidenced-based practices to help clients reach their wellness goals.
When not at the office, you will find Nicole spending time with her horses, Anya and Duke, and her three dogs, Marty, Buddy, and Sky. She loves spending extra time learning and improving herself, often following advancements in Neurology.
